Workshop

Zwiefacher Fridays

Weekly on Friday, 10:00 – 10:50am PT

Instructor: Patrick McMonagle

We are having fun with rhythms, the complicated part.  The dance itself is simple once you have a rhythm and resist the urge to travel while dancing. Easy to do when you are confined to dancing in your kitchen. They don’t travel in Munich.

Virtual Camp Orford May 30

Hello friends and friends of dance,

Our Orford last three camps were complemented by its dynamic presence and beautiful dances they taught us: Roberto Bagnoli (Orford 2017, Lachine 2018, Quebec in 2019); Sybil Helmer (Orford 2018); Wijnand Karel (Orford 2019). This year we will have the great pleasure to welcome them all three together in a virtual folkothèque to be held next Saturday and will serve Orford Camp 2020! Each of them will take some of their dances and a small team of our teachers Quebec will complement the guide while in others. This is an appointment to which we invite you:

Saturday, May 30, from 14h to 15h30 (ET)

at the following address: Zoom Link

NB: 1- to access, you will have downloaded the Zoom application on your computer, laptop, tablet or even smartphone.

Each week a different RSCDS Teacher is there to guide you through a mixture of basic movements, warm ups, technique, steps and dances, giving variety across the classes.
Live every Wednesday, the class will give you the chance to dance with RSCDS members around the world at the same time. Hosted on Zoom, the classes deliver live video and instruction, with the opportunity to post written Q&As throughout the session, which are answered throughout each class. You can also post messages on the ‘Chat’ area of the Webinar to other dancers.

Across the classes we are aiming to provide content for a range of abilities and will aim to have something everyone can join in with, in every class.

The classes are recorded and shared through Dance Scottish At Home on the following Friday for those who can’t make a Wednesday evening, especially those in a different time zone. They are also available through the
